And we are calling on the media to start holding politicians properly to account for public investment decisions and their consequences, and to represent the economics of investment fairly to the public.

Cost of Living Action is a campaign calling for the government to put an end to the cost of living crisis and make sure it never happens again.

We are a coalition made up of more than 40 civil society organisations, trade unions and grassroots groups, united around a series of practical demands to reduce costs, increase incomes and introduce fairer and better taxes on wealth.

The Economic Change Unit has received funding from The National Lottery Community Fund towards this area of work. The funding will be used to build solidarity and win structural economic reforms that reduce inequality, improve millions of lives and tackle the climate crisis. The funding comes from The National Lottery Community Fund’s Solidarity Fund – a key part of its efforts to deliver its strategy and address inequity and inequality by supporting experienced organisations working with communities facing poverty, disadvantage and discrimination.

We work to build the power of the UK ‘new economy’ movement by:

• Facilitating collaboration between civil society organisations focused on ideas and policies for economic systems change, and links to other movements
• Working to build commitment and action on anti-oppression and to elevate the voices and priorities of people on the sharp end of economic injustice
